Welcome to Cradle Mountain Transport

Cradle Mountain Transport offers regular and reliable transport from Launceston to Cradle Mountain 6 days a week (no services on Sundays) and from Cradle Mountain back to Launceston. We are based in Launceston and are operated by the same company that has for the last 4 years operated the very successful Overland Track Transport.

We are very happy to now launch for the 2021/22 season, Cradle Mountain Transport. Our new service offers reliable transport options for visitors to Tasmania that are planning to stay at Cradle Mountain for one or more nights to explore this wonderful National Park. Our 11:30am departure from Launceston is designed to have you at your accommodation shortly after check-in time (2:00pm for most accommodation) We offer Launceston CBD pick-up from 11:30am and Launceston airport at 12:00pm.

Transport to Cradle Mountain is via Sheffield where we will stop for a short visit to the cafe/bakery, the IGA supermarket and toilet stop. We arrive at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre at 2:30pm and drop-offs to Cradle Mountain accommodation.

For those doing the Overland Track but staying the first night at Cradle Mountain to get an earlier start on the track, this service has us arrive at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre in time for you to make the afternoon check-in at the Visitor Centre to collect your pass for the following day, saving you even more time the following morning.

We also offer a 3:00pm departure from Cradle Mountain back to Launceston with CBD accommodation drop-offs at 5:30pm or the Launceston airport at 5:15pm, 6 days a week (no services on Sundays).
