Covid-19 Cancellations

At Cradle Mountain Transport we understand the uncertainty of travel during Covid-19 so we have introduced our Covid-19 Full Refund policy which is outside of our regular cancellation policy.  If you are not able to enter Tasmania due to border closures at the time of your travel, we will offer you a full refund, the option to transfer your booking to a new travel date or place your booking into postponed until you are able to re-book your trip in the current or any future seasons (subject to availability)  All refunds are processed on the day of planned travel and apply for any border closures within 7 days of your trip.

What time do we arrive at Cradle Mountain?

Our bus departs Launceston and travels to Sheffield where we stop for a toilet break, a visit to the IGA supermarket if required and the cafe for a take-away coffee and lunch. We arrive at the Cradle Mountain visitor centre at approx. 2:30pm and drop each passenger to their accommodation.

What time do you pick-up from the Launceston Airport?

depending on what time you arrive, we have 2 options. If your flight arrives at 10:30am or earlier, we can pick-up from the airport at 11:00am before we go into the CBD to collect other passengers or if your flight arrives at 10:30am or after, we can pick you up at 12:00pm on our way to Cradle Mountain.

I’m starting my Overland Track walk the following day, what it is process?

We arrive at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre at approx. 2:30pm in time for you to do all your paperwork at 3:00pm and check-in for the following day. Here you will receive your Overland Track pass and your bus shuttle ticket. The next morning, all you have to do is to get on the shuttle bus that takes you to Ronny Creek, the start of the Overland Track. Saving you time so you can make the earliest start possible.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

All services operated are scheduled departures, a 25% cancellation fee applies if your flight is cancelled or delayed resulting in you not being at the agreed pick-up location on time and needing to cancel your transport booking. Alternatively, your transport tickets can be transferred to the next available service (subject to availability) including our 6:30am or 11:30am service the following day free of charge.
